Doilies + Washi Tape = Kitchen Wall Surprise

I'm not claiming to be any sort of brilliant crafter (I almost didn't post my humble Mad Men-inspired office DIY-holiday decor photos) but this quick project was easy to do and best of all surprised the love of my life as he walked in the kitchen this morning. Inspired by an image I saw on the Design*Sponge Instagram, I grabbed some white doilies at the neighborhood craft/hardware store (they were with the coffee makers and mugs, go figure!), did some quick lettering with a marker, and stuck 'em up there with my favorite washi tape. Our big bare kitchen wall (kept that way on purpose, this is where all the items for Dronning Vintage get photographed) is white but looks slightly gray most of the time. I think you could use this idea the whole year through to spell out all kinds of messages.
